This year, the Festival Orchestra consists of 60 young musicians from 12 cities, led by renowned New York-based Malaysian conductor Tengku Irfan, will come together for an unforgettable performance that celebrates their artistic growth and passion for music.
The programme spans classical and contemporary masterpieces, highlighting the bold brass of Koetsier's Brass Symphony, the rhythmic innovation of Chan's Drum Dance and the contrasting textures of Stravinsky's Suites for Small Orchestra. The concert comes to a thrilling conclusion with Schubert's magnificent Symphony No. 9, 'The Great'.
